Herman's Hermits / The Surfaris July 19th Glendale, Ca.

Glendale officials announced today that Classic Rock and Roll stars Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone will headline this year’s 15th Annual Cruise Night Car Show and Street Party. The 15th Annual Cruise Night will be held on Saturday, July 19, from 5:30 to 10:30 pm on Brand Boulevard in Glendale. Over 35,000 people are expected to attend this year’s event.
Herman’s Hermits sold over sixty million recordings and had 11 top ten hits. Peter Noone is a multi-talented entertainer, who has been delighting audiences nearly all his life. His classic hits include: “I’m Into Something Good,” “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter” and “I’m Henry VIII, I Am.” Also appearing on stage this year will be the 1960’s surf sounds of The Surfaris who had several hits including “Wipe Out” and “Surfer Joe.” Rounding out the entertainment will be The Tokens who had the hit “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” and “Tonight I Fell in Love.” This year’s emcee will be KRTH legend Brian Beirne, MR. ROCK N’ ROLL ®.
The 15th Annual Cruise Night will feature over 400 classic cars and trucks on display. People who would like to register their pre-1973 vehicle can obtain an entry form by going to the City of Glendale website at: www.ci.glendale.ca.us or they can call (818) 548-2184. This year’s celebrity judge will be actor Kent McCord who is best known for his role as Officer Jim Reed in the 1960’s and 70’s TV show Adam 12.
In addition to the cars and trucks, this year’s event will also feature booths and displays including police and fire vehicles and various games for the children.
